Job overview

During their apprenticeship, industrial clerks experience a variety of departments like materials management, sales and marketing, HR, finance, and invoicing. They collect quotations, process orders, and monitor goods received. They will also enter invoices for receivables or send invoices to our customers and monitor payment receipt. They will be in close contact with our suppliers and customers domestically, and also internationally. After their apprenticeship, they will be capable of working in any department of the company.

The e-commerce clerk apprenticeship (m/f/x) is likely one of the most diverse careers in the commercial area. Your tasks will not only include creation and administration of the online shop, but also web analysis, programming, and of course also finance. When new products are planned to go online, you’re responsible for making sure product data are entered properly, product images are uploaded, and the correct payment methods are available. In addition, the online shop and the corresponding products need to be marketed properly. The sales and marketing channels that are most suitable are selected by you according to various criteria. The trade business management study programme provides basic knowledge in the area of business management with a focus on trade, which is expanded by practical topics in the area of information technologies: students examine modern information and communication technologies intensively to shorten value-added chains and acquire new sales channels.
