One million trees for Guéra
Scheppach planted 10,000 trees in Central Chad as part of a reforestation and agroforestry project.
The project titled “One million trees for Guéra” was established in 2018 by the “Helping Hand” Association. The association helps the most disadvantaged people in Chad and has registered offices in Karlsruhe (Germany), Obernai (France) and Yverdon (Switzerland).
Raphaël BASTIAN, Logistics Manager at Scheppach France and Vice President of this association, initiated this ambitious reforestation programme. A Declaration of Intent and a partnership were signed with the local Environment Minister. Mr Bastian and his team recently travelled to the central region of Guéra to monitor the establishment of a tree nursery spanning one hectare and the preparation of planting the 10,000 trees.
